To this end, I synthesize core lessons from organizers featured in the book and pose what I see as the biggest questions facing another politics. While explaining how this book works, I also want to acknowledge its limitations—or at least those that have struck me while writing it. For one, my engagement with the anti-authoritarian current here primarily draws on the experiences of people based in large metropolitan areas. I’m certain that some of what I share has relevance for organizers in other contexts, but to speak adequately to the unique circumstances of suburbs, smaller cities, and rural areas would require a different book, one that I hope to see in the future.

I have attempted, however, to reflect accurately and responsibly the insights that everyone shared with me.
